Outreach and Engagement Committee
Purpose
To develop and promote strategies and best practices for outreach to and engagement of the diverse membership of the State Bar of Texas. The Committee will identify opportunities within the organization to create an environment conducive to involvement of attorneys of all backgrounds and locations across Texas; assist in the creation of measurable goals; and periodically report on progress towards achieving the goals set by the State Bar Board of Directors.

Review website for easier access and more visibility to the Office of Minority Affairs.

Review diversity resources and update as necessary.

Final review of the Interfaith Calendar and provide graphics to the State Bar of Texas

Continue working with the Texas Bar Journal through the Outreach and Engagement Committee liaison appointed.

Highlight heritage months on social media while sharing lawyers’ stories.

CLE Subcommittee

Continue expanding the list of speakers by having them submit the speaker form.

Brainstorm on ways to provide low cost CLE Programs.

Expand the Train the Trainer Program.

Continue the work of the Dean's Roundtable.
