Minority Attorneys at the Podium (MAP) Project

Are you a minority or woman attorney who wants to increase your visibility by speaking at a CLE course? Or perhaps writing an article on a substantive area of law is something you've considered.

Our MAP project seeks out speakers and writers that reflect the diversity of our profession.

We accomplish this by:

  • Identifying ethnically diverse and women attorneys who are qualified to write articles and present topics for our CLE courses

  • Assisting course directors and course planning committees in diversifying their faculty

Steps & Expectations

  • MAP Project brochure [PDF]: Download and fill out the registration form and send to the Office of Minority Affairs (address below).

When filling out the form, be as detailed as possible about your area of legal expertise.

You will be entered into our database. Our CLE planning teams draw their planning committee members and speakers from this database.

Periodically, we will be conducting "Train the Trainer" sessions to hone speaking skills, provide tips, and offer networking with experienced speaker mentors.

We cannot guarantee that you will be chosen as a speaker or planner, but by being entered into the MAP database, you greatly increase your visibility within the CLE department.
