GUY HARRISON
State Bar President, 2002-2003
Guy Harrison has a general, small-firm practice combined with
mediation in Longview. He received a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist
University and J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He
is licensed to practice in the Texas Supreme Court, the Eastern
District of both the U.S. District and U.S. Bankruptcy courts, and the
U.S. Supreme Court. Harrison served as a member of the State Bar
Executive Committee from 1996 to 1999, Board of Directors from1995 to
1998, and as chair of the board during 1997-1998. He has served on a
State Bar grievance panel and received a State Bar Presidential
Citation in 2000 for his work in reviewing and streamlining the
committee structure of the State Bar. Harrison is a sustaining life
fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and has been on its board of
trustees since 1998. He is active in his community, including service
as a board member, officer, and president of Crisman School for
Children with Learning Disabilities and as a board member of the
regional and national YMCA of the USA.
