District Director Positions
Attorneys in good standing who are interested in running as a district director on the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors must submit a petition to the State Bar by March 3, 2025. Names provided on the petition should be legible. The petition must include the bar card number and the date of signature for each individual.

To file as a candidate for district director, an attorney must submit the three documents below to the State Bar of Texas:
Note: An electronic signature may be used on the petition form. State Bar Rules state that a petition signature is invalid if it is not dated or the signer signed the petition before September 1 of the year before the election.
The biographical information provided in the bio form will be included in election materials to voters.
District director elections will be held from April 1 to April 30, 2025. Ten district director positions will be open this year from the various State Bar districts throughout the state.
